Phoenix Solar AG presents TectoFlat, an innovative flat roof installation system, at the Intersolar
- Low costs through the use of innovative materials
- Suitable for modules with and without frames
Sulzemoos, 7 June 2011 / Phoenix Solar AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93), a leading photovoltaic system integrator listed on the German TecDAX, has developed a new installation system for flat roofs. Phoenix TectoFlat will be presented for the first time at this year's Intersolar which will take place from 8 to 10 June 2011 in Munich. Visitors can find out more about the innovation from Phoenix Solar which is exibiting in Hall B5, Stand 340.
The innovative Phoenix TectoFlat system is suitable for flat roofs with an angle of up to ten degrees. Roof penetration can be avoided through an intelligent system connecting up the module rows, and the load is spread evenly across the roof. An aerodynamic design and optimised ballast guarantee stability for wind load zones with a rating of up to 3 and on buildings up to 30 metres high (approximately 98 feet). The majority of the components are made from magnesium-aluminium-zinc coated steel, which keeps the costs low. The ground joint is made of UV-resistant plastic, guarantees that the load is evenly spread over a large surface area, and is suitable for all standard roof materials. Preassembled components and an ergonomic installation concept simplify and accelerate the mounting process.
A particularly special feature of the system is its variability: All standard framed solar modules and all laminates (frameless modules) of First Solar and MiaSolé can be used. Depending on the module type and location, the modules can be mounted at an angle of between 12 and 29 degrees. Framed modules are fixed on the mounting holes and frameless modules using module clamps.
The optimised use of materials results in a significant price difference of up to 50 percent compared with similar solutions. Consequently, this contributes to lowering the overall system costs of a photovoltaic plant. Phoenix TectoFlat is expected to be available from September 2011.
